A family home set in the stunning Surrey Hills countryside. A renovation project that underwent a total interior transformation whilst keeping the integrity of a 19th Century Country Mansion. The home was given a total overhaul, adding limestone flooring throughout in large slabs, a curved guest bathroom and boasting high ceilings. Each room flows beautifully into the next. The Architect Ian Adam-Smith has not only created a series of family rooms, he has also created a haven that feels elegant, luxurious and full of character. Also creating colour concepts within the home each room leads you to the next with burgundy painted doors and green walls. A Library sandwiched in between a dining room and family room. Affording the family to relax into the walls and feel totally at home.
Within the kitchen design, it was key to ensure the scale of the home was reflected whilst creating a soft and family orientated space. With an essentially simple design that accentuates the bold use of materials and a twist on the traditional way of using colour. With a large freestanding dresser that houses everyday and special glassware, crockery alongside a breakfast station. The rest of the worktops and shelving are free to house beautiful pieces and provide a place to express the client’s personality and family life.
