This Balham home offers a hidden sanctuary defined by light and texture, with a cohesive, interconnected flow between living areas. A wooden hallway leads to the kitchen, where floor-to-ceiling glazing provides a dramatic view of the rear garden, blurring interior and exterior lines. Our design prioritised generous walkways and furniture tailored to the family's needs, avoiding the temptation to over-furnish the expansive room. This focus ensured a practical yet comfortable space. Storage is discreet, featuring a Dead Salmon larder dresser for cooking supplies and flanking dressers for integrated appliances, cookbooks, and crockery. Sensitive colours and materials, like earthy grey marble, unite the design. The result is a kitchen balancing practical functionality with ample room for treasured eclectic finds, creating an inherently familiar space where ease prevails.
