Tucked away in a beautiful English country village, this old rectory is packed with incredible history and original architectural details. Following a meticulous restoration of the house, our challenge was to introduce new cabinetry that felt entirely respectful of the building's historic charm.
Working closely with our client—who brought her own architectural background and a wonderful sense of precision to the project—we kept the layout intentionally simple and uncomplicated. Located at the rear of the property, the space connects naturally to the dining area and looks out over the rambling front garden. To ensure our work didn't detract from the home's origins, we paired a freestanding, table-style central island with warm oak tops alongside functional perimeter cabinetry topped with Atlantic Stone Granite.
To create a sense of balance and continuity across the household, we carried the same design ethos through to a hardworking utility and boot room. Bringing together that raw granite, oak interiors, and aged brass hardware, the finished spaces feel grounded, calm, and effortlessly connected to the landscape outside.
