  • Walking into this house ranked either side of lilac tulips, you immediately get a sense of homeliness. High ceilings and detailed cornicing offers a sense of times gone by, inviting you to explore this family space. The kitchen is housed in a renovated extension at the rear of the house, it was vital that this space felt in keeping with the rest of the house in its scale and its attention to detail.

With the benefit of natural light pouring into this extension we were able to create a bright, family setting with vast amounts of storage, movement within the floor plan and places to perch for our clients and their young family. Where the ceiling is slightly lower we have a panelled banquette seating area where as a family they can cozy up, eat Sunday dinners and chat about theirs days. You are then pulled through by a long island towards the garden where they can take a seat at a warm, oak table. Opposite is the one stop shop, a large double dresser with all breakfast storage, crockery, food store and more.

We were able to be playful with colours and materials due to the family’s love of collecting, the arts and of course that light and connection with a beloved and seasonally planted garden scape.
